Shoot the Guido – Seaside Heights/ Seaside Park NJ

Seaside Heights, NJ  – – Shooting the Guido

What can be better than the Jersey Shore in the summer?  Not much.

Over the years I have spent shore time at beach locations from Cape May to Monmouth County.  I have done the City to Shore charity bike ride from Marlton NJ to Ocean City NJ, crossing the pine barrens at least 4 times.  I know that the “shore” comprises more than just those beach communities south of Monmouth and lots of pine trees in between but for me Seaside Heights, NJ is the perfect embodiment of what the Jersey Shore is.

Being Italian I might have a certain level of comfort along the NJ beach towns that I just don’t get at Myrtle Beach or the OBX north side as found among the beaches at Corolla, Whalehead, Duck, Kitty Hawk, and Kill Devil Hills.  In NJ it’s the combination of food, colorful buildings, people and of course those boardwalks.

But it could very well be those “Girls in Their Summer Clothes” – that just pass me by.  That line from the classic Springstein tune under the same title is spot on for me.  They smile knowing that it is summer at the shore.

So,  it is here the shore “Royalty” comes to mingle at the crown jewel among all NJ sand castle beaches.

These images give that perfect day on the shore slice of life moment – thanks Guido.
