About Phil Fabrizio

I am a freelance photographer and owner of SugarLoaf Associates LLC who has operated for three decades in and around the Washington DC Metro area, the DMV for short. I created the pseudonym “PhotoLoaf” to transition from SugarLoaf Photography the name of my original photography studio to one that better describes a direction increasingly shaped towards more immediate social needs.

I started the business shooting Weddings and Bar/Bat Mitzvahs then during those years it expanded to sports portrait photography. Portraiture and Business client needs called for services such as Headshots or High School Senior and Family portraits. Those needs have grown to produce county, state and national photo images, a by-product of the DMV news fabric, for local newspapers, periodical magazine publishers and broadband media owners. Time, family and friends helped me realize the sum parts of my photography simply align into four categorical representative letters. They are L.O.A.F.

PhotoLoaf – Live, Love, Play Loaf

L is for LIVE, as in how living comprises what we do, The photography is positive, it’s the workplace, its the home-front, it’s events and it portrays life’s interactions.

O is for LOVE, of family, of friends, of country, of a person, of food, and memory of places, all that sustains us. The photography is touching as a child’s hand reaching for a father or broad as a seas caped paradise.

A is for PLAY, as in what drives us to pursue a goal and how it is accomplished. The photography is portraiture in motion, it’s sport action related and timely reported.

F is for LOAF, as in fun, life seen simpler, more in perspective, like a loafer – it fits. The photography is stock – Life, one slice at a Time.

It’s Life, one slice at a Time.
