ACTION PHOTOGRAPHY I – INTRODUCTION June 26 through June 30, 2017 – 9am to 3pm
Learn how operate a digital camera camera to take and make action photographs. Students will visit a variety of locations and learn how to handle cameras in the field and shoot like a pro. Students must provide a digital camera (digital single lens reflex or mirrorless) and a clean memory card. Last day culminates in a gallery exhibit and reception.

ACTION PHOTOGRAPHY II- PROCESSORS July 10 through July 14 2016
Students learn how to process, edit and develop photos using Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop working towards there own personal portfolio. Camp will also include the opportunity for an in studio photography session. Students must provide own digital (single lens reflex or mirrorless camera) and a clean memory card. Last day of camp will culminate in a gallery exhibit and reception. Prices for this class will be announced in Spring 2016

ADULT PHOTOGRAPHY CLASSES – at Positive Energy Arts Studio (P.E.A.S.) in Gaithersburg MD
Dates for Classes: Thursday Evenings – 2017 – DATES TO BE ANNOUNCED
Cost: $99
Start your summer by learning how to better use your DSLR or Mirrorless camera to your better advantage in this hands on class. The class will focus on creative compositions and those camera features that you can use to shoot in any lighting or environmental conditions. Practice sessions will be held with assignment and critiques in a fun atmosphere called – Wine and Swine – where all participants can enjoy food and drink in this adult atmosphere. Bring your camera and lenses, an empty card, and a fully charged battery – and your camera’s manual. Two three-hour sessions will be held in the P.E.A.S. studio – dates are June 30 and July 7 staring at 6:30 in the evening. It’s only $99 for both sessions.
There will be a free drop in session on Thursday, June 23 at 6:30 to learn about the class and to sign up.

Course Description
Build your portfolio expertise by learning the techniques of photographing action sports from the sidelines. Phil Fabrizio, a sport portrait photographer will discuss and help participants to take advantage of their equipment for the benefit of providing action photos for media purposes or for parents and their siblings. Learn how to use fast action Nikon cameras or the latest Fujifilm Mirrorless cameras and companion lenses to create those momentous images. Phil will share how to take initiative in gaining access to different sport venues; where to stand for different sports; how to position the camera for capturing these sports actions; rules of the game and how to compose then capture the action. More importantly Phil will share the process of how to become a great editor of images; how to do those critical workflow processes of managing the post-processing of images and making a difference in an increasingly content intense social media environment.
